Hereheretau 1 20.48kms 08:24   Bridges without sides, tight and twisty, off camber corners, this stage has it all. Starting on good county road and closes into secondary road with a good base. This stage will reward the brave.
Waihi 1 34.6kms 09:47   As used previously, the stage starts from SH38, climbs for 20 kms then follows the ridge for 5 kms. The road then drops to the river for 8 kms and then climbs again through the staircase for the last few kms. Good county road, soft in places if wet. Weather permitting the good base will be retained.
Cricklewood 1 26.78kms 10:30   An old favorite, this is "THE ROAD". Fast and furious, unforgiving corners and big drops - ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

Waitara 31.16kms 08:28   Starting from the SH5 end, Waitara Road is fast! Wide open flowing gravel highway, changing to the tight and narrow Pohokura Road down through kiwi country towards Tutira.
Mohaka Forest 22.09kms 09:44   As used in previous years, Mohaka Forest starts with a good, solid surface with wide, fast and flowing main roads. The course then moves into tight and twisting secondary roads that climb to the top. A long down-hill section that will test drivers' skills as the surrounding forest reduces visibility.
Each change requires a change in rhythm. 20 kms of intense driving.

Mohaka Coach 17.23kms 10:42   Another old favourite. This stage has more history than the Koran. Starts fast, tightens with big drops then opens again. Catches someone every year, so drivers beware. A challenge to get right!!
Triple Bridges 11.23kms 12:59   A river access track, used three times before. This year competitors will notice a change in this stage, in that we're running it in the reverse direction. The humps haven't moved, neither has the bridge support, but the surface has improved and so has the road. This stage is a spectator favourite.
Darkey Spur 18.65kms 14:22   Same as last year. It's still narrow, tight and twisting and the drops? They're still there! A good base.
